Slayers 2 Getting Started Guide

A first-hour route from Windy Peak spawn to your first Breathing Style — codes, mobility, quests, and farms.

Getting Started

Slayers 2 throws you into Windy Peak with almost no map tools and a long list of systems that only unlock after specific quests. This guide is a practical first-hour route: claim codes, spend early skill points on mobility, clear the bandit and bear chains, unlock the Book of Guidance, farm Demon Horns, and reach level 25 for your first Breathing Style. Progress does not transfer from Project Slayers Part 1, so treat every account as brand new.

Minute zero: group, codes, and clan spins

Before you leave the safe zone, join the Ouw Productions Roblox group on the same account you play on, then relaunch the experience. Open the Codes menu and redeem Release26 for spins, Wen, and related launch rewards. Group gating is easy to miss — if a code fails, confirm membership and restart once. Use early spins on clans if the menu offers them; a strong clan passive helps leveling, but do not stall the quest route while you chase perfect rolls. Keep the Codes Hub bookmarked for later drops.

Controls you need immediately

You will fight bandits within minutes. Learn Left Click (M1) for light attacks, Right Click (M2) for heavies, Q to dash, Left Shift to sprint, and Left Alt for mouse lock. Wall Climb is bound to CTRL once the skill-tree node is unlocked — you jump into a climbable surface, then hold CTRL to cling and move with WASD. Full bindings, air combos (LRLRL), and special strings (RRLRL / LLRLR) are documented on the Controls page. Practice dash-cancel spacing on the first bandit pack before you take the level 7 mini-boss.

Skill tree priority: Wall Climb and Double Jump

Every level grants skill points. Early points should buy Wall Climb and Double Jump before heavy damage nodes. Several Breathing trainers sit on cliffs, roofs, or mountain ledges that are awkward or impossible without climb. Double Jump smooths traversal across Windy Peak ridges and the later Mistfall routes. Dump leftover points into health, stamina, and block once mobility is online. You can respec later if the live build allows it; the first hour is about unlocking the map, not maxing DPS.

First combat loop: Krue, bandits, and Raze katanas

Talk to Krue at spawn and take the three-bandit quest. Farm that loop until level 7, then accept Krue’s mini-boss quest (often called Zuko). Block, dash through telegraphs, and punish recovery windows rather than mashing M1 into armor frames. Between pulls, visit Raze inside Windy Peak for weapons: a Regular Katana costs about 500 Wen, and the Fancy Katana sits near 1,500 Wen. Buy the Regular Katana as soon as you can afford it; upgrade to Fancy when side quests pad your wallet. Gear rarity color is less important than reading the actual stats on each piece.

Lost Pages before you wander

While you are still in Windy Peak, talk to Kona and accept Discover the Lost Pages. Pages spawn around the starter village. Completing the quest awards the Book of Guidance, which unlocks the map, highlights recommended farms for your level, and enables fast travel. Skipping this quest is the main reason new players feel lost. Full page behavior, mount costs, and named areas (Windy Peak, Bamboo Grove, Mistfall Harbor) are covered in Lost Pages & Book of Guidance. Do not leave the starter region for long until the book is finished.

Tom, bears, and the Mother Bear cave

Around level 13, move toward the bear area and take Tom’s hunt quest. Clear ordinary bears until Tom offers the Mother Bear objective near level 18. The cave under or behind the Mother Bear route is one of the best early spots for Demon Horns and related night drops later — remember the landmark even if you are not farming horns yet. PvP can enable in this band of the map, so keep dash ready and avoid standing still on open ridges. Finish Tom’s chain before you start long trainer hikes.

Demon Horns farm toward level 25

Breathing Styles open at level 25. Trainers ask for Demon Horns, and some also want Beast Cores or Wen. Horns drop from demons at night in caves and open wilderness; the Mother Bear cave and Bamboo Grove waterfall routes are common early farms. Decide your first style before you grind so you collect the right count — costs differ by trainer and have conflicted across early-access and launch videos. Use Breathing Trainer Locations as the shopping list, then compare kits on the Tier List Hub if you are unsure which style fits your play pattern.

First Breathing Style checkpoint

At 25, climb or swim to your chosen trainer, hand in materials, and clear the training minigames and trainee fight. Popular early picks include Water (flexible toolkit via Urokodaki near Bamboo Grove) and Flame (straightforward offense via Rengu past Mistfall bridges), but any of the eight styles works if you enjoy the kit. After the style unlocks, keep questing toward level 45+ if you plan Final Selection, or start the reputation drop if you prefer How to Become a Demon.

Suggested first-hour checklist

  1. Join the group, relaunch, redeem Release26, and spend early clan spins.
  2. Unlock Wall Climb and Double Jump; skim Controls.
  3. Clear Krue’s bandits → level 7 mini-boss; buy a katana from Raze.
  4. Finish Kona’s Lost Pages for the Book of Guidance.
  5. Progress Tom’s bear quests; note the Mother Bear cave for later horns.
  6. Farm to level 25, gather the materials for one trainer, unlock Breathing.
  7. Plan next gate: Final Selection (Slayer) or Muzan (Demon), and keep Codes handy.

Common first-hour mistakes

Skipping Lost Pages leaves you without a map. Ignoring Wall Climb locks trainer cliffs. Buying cosmetics before the Fancy Katana slows clear speed. Farming random horns without picking a trainer wastes inventory space when costs differ. Entering Final Selection at the bare minimum level without healing items or a practiced Breathing kit turns the Hand Demon into a wipe. Stay on the checklist above and you will leave the first hour with mobility, a map, a weapon, and a real combat identity.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is the Release26 code for in Slayers 2?

Release26 is a launch code that grants spins, Wen, and related rewards. Join the Ouw Productions group, relaunch, then redeem it in the Codes menu. See the Codes Hub for the latest list.

Why should I unlock Wall Climb so early?

Several Breathing trainers and shortcuts sit on cliffs or roofs. Wall Climb (CTRL after the skill unlock) is required for clean access; Double Jump helps the same routes.

When do Breathing Styles unlock?

Trainers accept you at level 25 once you bring their materials. Finish Lost Pages and early quests first so you can path to the trainer without a locked map.

Should I do Final Selection or become a Demon first?

Both are mid-game identity choices. Push Final Selection if you want Slayer rank and Corps gear; drop reputation for Muzan if you want Evil Arts. Early leveling steps are shared either way.

Where do I farm Demon Horns as a beginner?

Farm demons at night. The cave near the Mother Bear and Bamboo Grove waterfall routes are popular early spots. Confirm your trainer’s exact cost before a long grind.
